In our modern world there are lots of alternatives available to use as a sports bag. The most popular are the ones that have a handle and a shoulder strap to carry it. While this may not be possible, there are other bags that are made particularly for sports, and don't have any shoulder straps in any way.

A shoulder strap is a strap attached to the back of the shoulder or arm of a individual, typically for carrying a backpack. These are normally a thick fabric such as nylon, usually having a zippered closure with a little drawstring for fastening the bag. A shoulder strap is typically used by non-commissioned officers from the armed forces and for carrying sport equipment by civilians, recreation and sports. A shoulder strap is very handy for carrying a heavy bag or back pack, or for carrying a thing while taking the bag with the shoulder strap attached to the bag. However, they are often too wide and tight to use with a shoulder strap backpack or handbag.

A shoulder strap on a sports bag can be attached to the back of the shoulder, or to the front part of the shoulder. It can also be attached to the arm, or the chest. The most common reason that a individual would like to attach a shoulder strap onto a sports bag is that they would like to take an item such as a backpack or a laptop in their back.

When attaching shoulder straps to a bag, it's important to make sure that you don't over-stuff the bag. If the straps are too large or you simply add a lot of, there's a fantastic chance that the straps will probably dig in the bag, or even the shoulder strap may come undone and leave you with a major hole in your shoulder, or arm.

There are two methods to connect the straps to a bag; possibly you can just attach them all the way, or you'll be able to tie a knot or loop around the straps so the straps stick through the base of the bag. When attaching straps all of the way the straps need to be set in reverse directions.
